GOD IS GREATER & The Shadow's Defeat

After many long hours in Dr. Winslow’s home recording studio, putting together the arrangements for the new song GOD IS GREATER, at the keyboard, Dr. Winslow traveled to New Wine Recording Studio and Mastering Lab in Apple Valley, California to record the vocals and final mix working with Eric Uglum, owner of the studio. The song sounds great and with the help of Roger Gilliespie on the drums and percussion, GOD IS GREATER has been added to the audio recording of Rev. Pamela Tattershall’s book, THE SHADOW’S DEFEAT. The lyrics of the song fit the theme of the book like a hand in the glove.

GOD IS GREATER
When the nighttime comes and its secret fear.
Like a shadow that’s whispering it’s lies in your ear
Makes you feel alone, like your life shouldn’t be
But my dear child there’s someone who will set your heart free

God is greater than the darkness God is greater than all the lies
Jesus came to save and heal you. You are precious in His eyes
God is greater than the bullies.  God is greater than all the fear.
He is waiting for you to ask Him into your heart.

There’s no need to hide all the battles you face
All the struggles when people treat you with disgrace
Listen to the truth that will cancel the lies
For your heavenly Father has heard all your cries

When you make Jesus Lord, your life will be renewed
Your joy will be restored the shadow is subdued
When your life is clean because of what God’s done
You can stand up in the name of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son.

God is greater than the darkness God is greater than all the lies
Jesus came to save and heal you
You are precious, You are precious, You are precious in His eyes

God is greater than the bullies God is greater than all the fear
He is waiting for you to ask Him He is waiting for you to ask Him
He is waiting for you to ask Him into your heart. Into your heart.

Authored by Pamela Tattersall, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the story is about a young native American girl who is being oppressed by a dark Shadow that comes to her during the night and tells her that she is worthless and shouldn't live. Like so many children today, the little girl is also dealing with bullies at school. Because of the night encounters and her sad life situation she contemplates obeying the Shadow's suggestions and commit suicide. The story is one that is all too similar to what is happening among the Native American children throughout North America. Suicide rates have escalated up to 400% higher than other places with children under the age of 10 on reservations throughout the US and Canada. Rev. Pamela's book explains the Gospel message in a simple and precious way that children can relate to as well as helping them receive Jesus who can set them free from the assaults. I feel very privileged to have been asked to add and record the theme song, GOD IS GREATER for this project. Please be praying with us as this book and the audio CD is distributed in Native American tribes in many places. Your prayers and support are deeply appreciated for this work, and the people who will hear and read this book will be blessed as this project touches their lives.
